Matt has been working as a Personal Trainer for the last 5 years. During those 5 years he has gone on to start and finish his DPT in 2016. Shortly followed with beginning a PHD in Sports Physiology in 2016.
Matt began his journey in the fitness industry after his dramatic weight loss of 150lbs. Weighing in around 370lbs at 19 years old and losing the weight before turning 21.
During that time he learned a lot and experienced many obstacles that people face who are currently trying to lose weight. He has gone on since then to help dozens of people reach their weight loss goals!
After losing his weight Matt had taken an interest in strength training. He started powerlifting and has been competing in the sport since 2015.
His training philosophies include prioritizing form and execution of lifts and using progressive overload to increase strength over a period of time.
